Extra Credit: Analyze the political cartoon and explain whether its tone is in favor of or opposed to Imperialism.

    Hey Ms. Pollio!
    Betty and I were analyzing this picture and in our opinion we think that this political cartoon means that England wants to imperialize several countries like India, Egypt, Canada etc. It's tone is opposed to imperialism because England wants all the power of several countries, also we have this opinion because England, is portrayed as an ugly, evil sea creature.

    hey ms. Pollio; it's Carolyn and Jerrelyn. we analyzed this picture and we think that the tone is in favor of imperialism, because imperialism is when a nation wants to get rule/authority of a another country. and in this picture it shows England as a levithian who wants to colonize other countries.

    me and jojo where looking at the picture and we came up with the resolution that the political cartoon has to do alot with imperialism there for causing it to be for imperialism instead of against it. The political cartoon also shows how there is a tentacle on some of the countries there ...which would mean that the ones that the octupus is touching are the ones that the Europeans took over and imperialized.

    hey well i Lilian was analyzing the picture and i notice that most of the octopus that is the country england is touching the rocks that represent countries that has taken over and thats why i agree that this cartoon is in favor of imperialism. since the definition of imperialism is a strong nation taking over a another nation and total control. however, the only country that england hasn't imperialized is Egypt and it looks like its on process so it probably will.
